Psalm 34:18- The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he delivers those who are discouraged.

Unhealed wounds can make your heart feel shattered, even if you believe they’re covered. The pain persists beneath the surface, and when triggered, it can lead to intense responses. Trauma causes emotions like anger, anxiety, helplessness, and fear, as well as difficult symptoms such as flashbacks or sleep issues. Recognizing and addressing this pain is essential to healing.

Personally, fear was my most overwhelming emotion. When I sensed possible rejection, I would withdraw in hopes of protecting myself. However, hiding my feelings only deepened my pain and led to lost friendships. This underscores the importance of facing and speaking about our pain.

It wasn’t until I began asking God to heal me that my fear started to dissipate. By immersing myself in His word and trusting Him, I found deliverance from my fear of rejection. He gave me the confidence to approach people with loving honesty.

I realize this process can feel impossible at times and is certainly not easy. It requires being honest with yourself and having the humility to ask for help. With God, nothing is impossible. Trust Him with your broken heart, lean into Him, and watch Him heal every aspect of your pain.
